i know that bernie ecclestone wants a night race in australia and reports are that he wants to change tracks to a night race in australia when the contract with albert park runs out, but can he be convinced to make it a day race at mt panorama bathurst?? it is the holy grail of australian motorsport and when objective non-eurocentric people talk about the best tracks in the world it is often in discussion. Jenson button did some laps around the circuit about a year ago and he loved it, said that it was one of the best challenges he has ever experienced and im sure that many other drivers would feel the same. i know that some say that it is too dangerous and too steep and logistically its a bad place to have a grand prix because it is so far away from a main city, (3-4 hour drive from sydney) but i really hope the ecclestone can give it a chance or a serious think about it, and are there other australian tracks where f1 could be held??? theres also philip island and if ecclestone is deadset strung on having a night race, light up albert park or homebush bay where theV8 sydney telstra 500 is held.. thought/ideas???...
